The top countries of origin for foreign home buyers, were Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Russia and Venezuela.

International buyers paid a median $297,400 (in U.S. dollars) for a U.S. property - significantly greater than the $217,900 median price for a U.S. existing home of any type in all of 2007 which cost an average of 36 percent more than the typical domestic buyer's home purchase, but less than the median price paid by foreign buyers in the previous year's survey. More than 14 percent of properties sold to international buyers sold in excess of $750,000.
